Perceived Value
Equates to naming your own price for things. It’s a personal thing and sometimes when both parties agree on the price or “value” of something a transaction occurs between one buyer and one seller. Value is like any other emotion where the human brain takes over placing value [of some degree] on a thing or object of desire. It’s how our brains work behind corporate decisions/moves as well so let’s talk about that. Humans base all their purchase and sell decisions on a thing known as “Perceived Value”. And what one values another may not value at all or at least not at the level equal to or the same as another. This is how markets are made for products and services.
Take a Boat and Trailer
I could care less about owning a boat and having to purchase a trailer and truck strong enough to haul it around then renting a slip to store it? These are things I don’t care to own, thus, I do not “value” them enough to own them. Even if they were inexpensive I wouldn’t seek them out because I don’t perceive much utility in having them. If you’re not familiar with the definition of utility in economics you might want to look into the concept of “utility”. How often do I need a boat? Well, if I’m planning a fishing trip or an ocean cruise I expect to employ someone competent and equipped with those as the need arises. I’m perfectly fine with the arrangement of having to pay the cost of “renting” these things over owning all of it myself.
Recently in the news
We have a case [from February 2022] where a NY state Attorney General filed lawsuits claiming an ex-President of the United States inflated the value of certain properties in order to obtain better loan terms from banks and their bankers. She claims these banks were defrauded when not one bank or banker in these transactions ever brought up any issue with the loaned out funds. Instead, they were more than happy to assist! Plus, the commercial loans she refers to in her lawsuit have all been satisfactorily retired, paid in full. So not one of these [subject] bankers has ever complained that a fraud occurred in the monies loaned out to the Trump Organization. Yet we have an Attorney General of New York bringing charges against an ex-President, accusing him of fraud? This will go down as the largest “frivolous lawsuit” in the history of our country!
Re-Visiting My Perceived Value Argument
Along with that “utility” concept and add in free and open markets. I am here to inform you that you are free to sell anything in this country for any price you want. Completely free to do so, the only exceptions being when prices are regulated in a transaction by some state or federal law. Usually this would only apply when dealing in a transaction with a local, state or the federal government.
I Am Here to Admit
There are things I own that I would place a much higher value on than the next person and in turn they own things they would place a much higher value on than someone else, it’s just part of life. Thus, I am free to overpay or underpay for anything and everything without courts interfering in those transactions, especially when no complaint is ever filed! This is known as operating in a free market environment, our God-given right, and is fundamental to living in these United States. There is never a reason for government to intercede in what I receive for anything I choose to sell, or even to set the value for something I want to own personally. Never ever!
Imminent Danger for the United States!
Courts cannot call foul after the fact in a completed transaction when two private parties arrived at a matching perceived value for a transaction – that’s impossible! Allowing something like this would cause mass chaos in every buy and sell decision going forward. Let us hope that the Supreme Court will never side with a prosecutor charging that a fraud occurred in a case where both parties were completely satisfied in their respective business decisions. You’re talking about destroying the operation of free markets in the United States forever! We have witnessed everything now that our courts, and really the entirety of the Justice System, in the United States has fallen into the hands of corrupt Democrats such as one, Letitia James [pictured]. Ms. James is the real fraudster here for pushing this baseless claim forward, abusing her position as AG of New York. I wish all these Socialists who have corrupted our courts system in these past 6-7 years would exit U.S. state and federal governments and yesterday!
Lettuce James has no clue on free markets or law. She doesn’t understand negotiation between business and bankers. These negotiations take place every day. You say your home is worth $800,000 and the bank comes back with $380,000. Who’s commiting fraud here? It might be the bank. It’s risk vs. reward at this point with 2 opposing viewpoints, neither are guilty!
Truth! Courts can never “decide” the value of one’s property. Allowing this claim to go forward will set a dangerous precedent, and probably crash the commercial and residential property markets. ATTENTION! ALL IDIOTS PLEASE EXIT THE UNITED STATES IMMEDIATELY! 🙂
You didn’t say pretty please do I’m tossing it in. Pretty please, leave our country and do let the door hit you in the ass!
What these Democrats are doing to our country is so terrible. The “You can’t make this stuff up” train left the station years ago now. In fact, if a fiction writer just two decades ago were to bring this script to Hollywood movie producers? They would have been laughed out of the studio! No one would have believed anything even close to this could ever happen in the United States of America!
