Seek Out Those [With Heart]

Seek Out Those [With Heart]

People that wear their hearts on a sleeve, that’s a good attribute to have. I tend to seek these kind of souls out, they’re like magnets. I may not be as good at it as they are, but I always envied this quality. On the other hand, I am quick to identify those who are heartless, describing a condition of selfishness, being heartless involves those who only think of themselves first, always, [and only really]. It’s ALL ABOUT THEM! This is the best description of a person in society who lacks “heart” and I am quick to identify them; I avoid the heartless among us. Narcissists like these are abundant in this life. When I’m absent and stay that way it could be because I’ve identified and labeled some as having “narcissistic” qualities.

People with heart either serve others [through their vocations] or they consistently live an existence that works toward bettering society as opposed to destroying a successful society. This means they vote in elections for the benefit of every single person in society, not just for their own self interests. They understand and honor those that came before them and those that once knew more than they ever did. They exhibit respect in general, knowing full well when given the difference of choice, to choose a path of good over evil. Thus, they will not try and profit at the expense of knowingly harming someone. That’s a good description of a person with “Heart”, a person that does not harbor and/or protect those that carry out evil.

Find people with the above qualities and you have found gold. People that use others and deceive people for their own personal gain are “heartless”. I must include those that are simply too ignorant to understand that their behavior is harming others, there are those out there as well. This is a post that should be filed under “Narcissism”, and unfortunately, their numbers in today’s society are great. On the other hand, people that exhibit “heart” understand that God is sovereign over all, and not themselves. The “Me” [in all of us], at the immediate expense of someone else [possibly even someone you love] just isn’t cool anymore. It never really was cool. I’m certain we’ve all been there and done that, and even felt bad about it years later. But by now has narcissism reached epidemic levels in this country? Not certain about that, however, I would have to say that the condition certainly is not a rarity [in today’s world]. It’s quite common actually but just how to break the chain is the question. I just know that seeking out those with “heart” is a good start!

Well, let me tell you about me…
I fully understand that I carry many faults and regrets. People that use other people, don’t care, whether it be for gain or to put others down to lift themselves up. Let’s all celebrate successes of others and lift one another. Cheers to all my brothers!
