Wow, you can say that again. Do the Leftists, really all Democrats, do they know this yet? I doubt it. Would they ever fight if attacked? Are you laughing-out-loud yet? Freedom is not free, it takes much sacrifice. I bought a t-shirt with this same logo on it that “Freedom is Never Free”. There does exist places in America to remind us of how “Freedom is Never Free”. We found one of these places this past weekend when Blaise and I traveled to see how Oklahoma would do against their old rival Nebraska. Oklahoma surprised Nebraska by scoring 49 points against their 14. Nebraska fans are great supporters of their team, they’re not jerks at all like all those Pittsburgh Steeler fans – not-at-all! We spent much time tailgating over beers and conversation with Nebraska fans and I’m here to tell you they are wonderful people, and amazingly loyal to their team and it was such a great thing to witness!
Having ample time to catch a late flight out of Omaha home we happened upon a great Midwest discovery – “The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum” nestled in Ashland, Nebraska. This is a must-see property for those that believe like I do, that “Freedom is Not Free”. To see what brave Americans among us have done in various war campaigns and trained to fly in the air, it’s truly amazing. Great exhibit of WWII, Korean War, and even Vietnam era to modern day military aircraft in the flesh, close up. Some exhibits are even open cockpit. [Pictured: Blaise stands near a SR-71A Blackbird, the fastest jet in the world with a maximum speed of 2,100 mph, [Mach 5]. Lockheed developed the aircraft for the federal government back in the 1950’s to use on reconnaissance missions because it could outrun most missiles, and still does even today.]
We opted for two turns in their museum flight simulator, Blaise was the Pilot and I served as Co-Pilot both times because I like to shoot at stuff instead of worrying about steering and they had buttons for me to shoot the machine guns and rocket launchers. Anyway, Blaise only gave me a 2-second warning before he immediately turned the capsule completely upside down, so I was like “what the f are you doing?!” All he could do is laugh and say something like “hang on Dad, we’ll get you out of this!” Okay, but he pulled that same “stunt” both times! 🙂 At least the Pilot had to be upside down at the same time the Co-Pilot was upside down? Have you ever shot at an approaching enemy plane on a huge screen upside down in a simulator flying over Southeast Asia? Well… I have now!!! 🙂
Great stuff! My dad used to call on them back in the day.
