Beauty shows up in the strangest places, it doesn’t have to be a complicated piece when it presents itself as a song, or require that we digest complicated lyrics and designer chords. I vote that beauty to the ears doesn’t have to be complicated at all. I’m guess I’m attracted to music that is honest in scope, more so than any other attribute. Sing me a story I can relate to, you don’t have to be snappy or quick, no boom-box required, just a straight-forward speak delivered honestly. When I perceive originality, when the writer is speaking honestly from his or her heart, that’s cool as honesty in lyrics is tremendously attractive [to me]. Honestly is so simple and yet still we live in a world where so many strive to be perceived as someone or something they’re not, and will never be… life is beautiful and people in this life should learn to enjoy their natural born uniqueness, no reason to try and make up another.

Stay uncomplicated, just like this song from Steve Marriott – it’s simple in scope and yet brutally honest. “It amazes me that I’m still here and you’re still there ’cause I ain’t been home for weeks!” I can tell Steve was speaking from his heart, probably to his soon to be ex-wife [her name was Jenny].
