Someone said this now famous quote, I’m not certain who to credit for it but I do think he or she was on to something? You clicked on my latest blog category, “Topography and Me” where I aim to share some of my upcoming travel experiences. Do check back from time to time as I have several places on my bucket list yet to visit. Pictured is the statue of David by Michelangelo located in the Accademia Gallery in Florence Italy. These photos were taken from my I-phone in the Summer of 2015.

If you don’t recall the story of David and Goliath it is one you should brush up on, a perfect example of how God works, he selects the most unlikely candidates, people who would normally have a low probability of the [task at hand], and all to accomplish his goals, that was David against Goliath. From there of course David became the King of the Jews and one of the most prominent figures in the Old Testament. [David wrote many of the Psalms]. What you will notice about this stone depiction is that the sculptor, Michelangelo, depicts David equipped with only a stone thrower across his shoulder. Please see this in person – it’s amazing!
I’ve never been to Italy, serious bucket list material. In Spain the old churches were so awesome. One church we were in took 400 years to complete and the architecture was jaw dropping. A rolling stone gathers no moss is somewhat like a tree not planting roots. I believe it was a derogatory statement towards drifters, never settling and building nothing. I have no clue where it came from or who said it.
Kind of like the life of Hunter Biden? LMAO! Italy has the church you must see, St. Peter’s Basilica, it’s amazing! [My pop-up notice to subscribe to this site has a photo of one of the alcoves of the Basilica] Our ship docked in a Spanish port but we had to get to the airport, didn’t have time to site see. Blaise and fiance’ just got back from Spain and said it was great, the same thing you said about the cathedrals.
