America Misses Only Certain Mean Tweets

I’ve never used Twitter. When Twitter was first getting started I established my handle, it was BNewman or something like that. Anyway, they granted me my requested sign-on name and what did I do after that? Absolutely nothing! I’ve never once “tweeted” anyone or anything – not once. But still I have an interesting story about Twitter and me. I posted this true story on FB a couple months after it happened. It was my first encounter with how sick and spiteful Liberals/Leftists/Democrats are, and I’ll never forget it. It turns out that because of the fact that I had never once “Tweeted” anything, I was able to keep my job. Read on –

As the months and years went by I knew Twitter was not for me, I was all in on FB for awhile so I just ignored anything Twitter. One Sunday evening back in February of 2018, I logged into FB and at the top of my news feed that day an article appeared on the NBC network public FB site. The article was about the recent poaching of lions going on in Africa, and how a posse of Africans (3 or 4) were illegally hunting these animals in the wilderness when one of the hunters went missing. A search party found what was left of him a couple days later, he had fallen to prey to his own prey. And the lions made a meal out of this one poacher. (Can anyone be sad for him? A Leftist could, because that’s how they think. Always remember that illegal activities are fine when you’re a Leftist). Many people were commenting on the post and mostly supporting the animals. I laughingly wrote my own comment: “Gee, if they’re still hungry let’s feed Bill and Hillary Clinton to them, want to?” A few minutes later a couple of guys on FB started some real nasty rhetoric toward me for my comment, these two apparently knew each other. I did not know them at all. So I just let it go, and left it at that.

Now fast forward to Tuesday at the office, and I’m about to head out for lunch when I received an email from a Compliance Manager saying, “please see me in the corner office in 5 minutes!” I thought oh boy, because you never want to be summoned by compliance when you’re managing money – so something must be up! But just what that “something” was, I did not know… I walked down there and there were three from our compliance team inviting me to come in and get on a call with our corporate attorney from New York? She took over the call after introducing herself, and began questioning me. The first question was “do you use social media sites?” I replied “Yes, I’m on FB about every day.” Corporate attorney, “how about Twitter, are you on Twitter also?” I replied, no, I’m not. She then asked, “have you ever been on Twitter?” When I explained that I had a handle but never tweeted even one time. She then sent over an electronic image, it was a photo of my FB home page with me and where I worked and my position title, etc. on Twitter. She began to explain that this snapshot of me (from FB) was tweeted by someone that had 600,000 followers on Twitter. He tweeted it and said over Twitter to never do business with Brant Newman or this bank of brokerage firm ever, and went on to say that I was a horrible person that would treat you poorly, etc. The corporate attorney then says, “I hope you can understand the concern we have for the amount of damage this can do to our firm and banking relationships, having that volume of negative publicity? (600,000 potential customers).” Of course I agreed.

That’s when I made the connection as to exactly what happened the previous Sunday afternoon over FB. I told them the comment I had made and the response I received. A few minutes later, the corporate attorney said, “it will take us a few days to investigate this matter. This call is over, we will get back to you then.” (She needed to collaborate what I had said about never being on Twitter?) Meanwhile, at least a week went by with no reply, when one day at my desk I looked up to find a compliance person at my door, “mind if I come in she says?” Yes, please enter. We talked a bit. The first thing she said was, “we haven’t heard back from corporate officially on your matter, but I just want you to know, I’m politically conservative myself so I get it. However, you really need to be careful on these social media sites when they can tie you to your organization, etc.” I replied, “you’re right and I want everyone to know that as soon as I got home that night I deleted all reference to my employer and title.” She said they weren’t going to require me to do that because it was well within the stated rules of compliance, however, she mentioned it was a good idea given that I had been targeted (by Leftists).

It was obvious that I had nothing to do with ordering this negative publicity on Twitter. I was targeted by some Clinton Leftist, loyalists. Had I been responsible for anything like that over Twitter I surely would have been fired. Leftists cannot take what they dish out to people like me who love and want to preserve our country’s rich heritage. I have found the Left to be nothing but “trouble” exemplified. Twitter is nothing but trouble and so is FB, trust me on that. You and I would puke to find out what Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg have been up to with their $millions – none of us know the half of it. Once Trump’s social media site gets up and running I don’t see either of these Leftist run enterprises as viable growing concerns. They will most likely morph into another media zombie, akin to what Commie News Network (CNN) and MSNBC are today, both with very small audiences, the “walking wounded” of companies basically.

Note to those on Social Media sites that are “employees”: Because of what happened to me my suggestion is that if you’re working for someone else, remove all references to where you work and your job title. If you’re self-employed or a business owner and you’re using Social Media to build your business then that’s just another risk out there (for you) these days, right?

Leftist are the most vindictive preachers of hate if your shoes don’t fit them. You are a mere pauper to them, in thought and process. No one I would ever associate with would ever risk someone’s livelihood and profession. Only liberals hide behind FB and never confront with logic. Feel free, feed the lions.
